How to Use IMS Twister Hydro

🔹 Step 1: Insert and Clamp the Tool

 

  • Use a 5 mm hex key to tighten the M10 clamping screw (max torque: 10 Nm).
  • Always clean both tool and seat before insertion.

 

🔹 Step 2: Adjust the Twister Module for Tool Length

 

  • Loosen the two M5 screws, reposition the Twister to fit the tool length.
  • Retighten screws with moderate torque—avoid thread damage.

 

🔹 Step 3: Maintain the Correct Operating Distance

 

  • Maintain a 2–10 mm gap between the Twister and the cutting surface for optimal chip removal.

Clean the tool and clamping seat after each use.
Lubricate the tool holder before storing.
Remove all chip or dust residue from clamping surfaces.
